Our Story

MIZIN, originally known as Cabin Hire NZ, was established in 2016 by the visionary duo Gordon and Mary Green. They embarked on this journey with a clear mission: to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions for New Zealand’s increasing demand for affordable accommodation and office spaces.

With years of experience in the equipment-hire industry, they recognised a gap and set out to provide portable cabins that were not only functional but high quality.

As the business grew across the North Island, their daughter Whitney and son-in-law Cody joined, expanding MIZIN into the South Island. What truly excites Gordon and Mary is the positive impact MIZIN cabins have on people’s lives—whether it’s providing urgent accommodation or offering businesses the extra space they need.

We are a family-operated business with a network of dedicated franchisees who share our values. We take pride in delivering top-quality cabins and outstanding customer service, ensuring your experience is seamless from start to finish. Service and Process

At MIZIN, we provide top-quality service from the moment you reach out. When you call, you’ll speak with a knowledgeable team member who will guide you through the process. We aim to make everything as clear and straightforward as possible. Whether by phone, email, or contact form, we’re always available to help.

Here’s how our service works:

1. Get in Touch

Contact us via phone, email, or the contact form here. We always have cabins available.

2. Discuss Your Needs

We’ll talk to you about the space you need and determine the right cabin size and delivery method, including whether a HIAB is required.

3. Application and Contract

We’ll send you a detailed application and contract that covers site requirements and costs, so you know exactly what to expect.

4. Return the Contract

Send back the signed contract with referees’ names and contact details

5. Payment Details

We’ll send our bank details for you to deposit the delivery fee, bond, and first week’s hire.

6. Confirm Delivery

Once we receive the deposit, we’ll confirm the delivery date and arrangements.

7. Cabin Installation

Standard installation takes about an hour, including leveling and connecting to power.

8. Final Documentation

We’ll provide you with a signed copy of the contract and an Automatic Payment form for your weekly hire payments, plus a receipt for your initial deposit.

9. Ongoing Support

We’re here to help with any questions or concerns, and to assist you when you’re ready to end your hire.

MIZIN is Nationwide

Wherever you are in New Zealand, we can get a MIZIN cabin to you. If you have a difficult site or access, please ring us because we will often work to solve any problems and concerns for you. We service 30 territories throughout NZ (22 in the North Island, and 8 in the South Island), and we are currently expanding into the South Island, so expect to see us more down that way!
